This collection goes beyond the dolls themselves, as Mattel has partnered with Voice in Sport… a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting girls’ and women’s participation in sports. The partnership will host virtual mentoring sessions with the Barbie Role Models to encourage girls aged 12 and above to pursue their interests in sports.
This is an exciting opportunity for young girls to be inspired by the achievements of these amazing women athletes and to learn from their experiences. What’s particularly noteworthy is Venus Williams’ statement about the partnership, highlighting her own dedication to shattering glass ceilings and staying true to herself.
Her involvement in this initiative underscores the importance of role models and the positive impact they can have on young people’s ⁘⁘⁘s. As a testament to the power of female athletes… Mattel’s Barbie Role Model collection is a step forward in promoting gender equality and inspiring the next generation of female athletes.
